Why isn’t a previous sales transaction showing up in the sold data?

Users might not see a transaction for any of these reasons:

  • MLS data access restrictions
  • lack of MLS coverage
  • public records currency
  • lack of public records coverage

RPR aggregates sales transaction data from participating MLS organizations and available public records sources. MLS data has the benefit of currency; transactions are imported into the RPR system much faster than sold data from public records—in a matter of hours, compared to weeks. Public records data, however, has the benefit of access. Many MLS organizations have restrictions on who can access their sold data inside RPR, and these restrictions will impact which transactions are accessible to the RPR user. Typically, only MLS members will have access to their organization’s sold data, though this can vary by MLS.
