Release Notes: May 2016

v1.50 - RPR website and RPR Mobile™ for iOS/Android tablet and phone

Released May 24, 2016

The latest release of Realtors Property Resource® expands keyword search to support other feature areas, drive-time search enhancements and several improvements to the mobile app as well as the ability to customize a Property Flyer from the iOS mobile app. Associations and MLSs will also appreciate the ability for automating tasks and reports through the dashboard. Let’s take a look at some of the latest enhancements in more detail.

RPR Residential

Expanded Keyword Search Functions

The keyword search field has been expanded to explore other feature areas beyond the standard listing description field. Besides the listing description field, Residential and Commercial users now have the ability to search Neighborhood, Address Zone, (Zoning), Address Area (MLS Area), Exterior Style, Exterior Water Features, Listing Subtype and MLS Subtype.

For example, if you want to search “condos,” within a specific price range and city, you can easily accomplish this task by adding condos to the keyword search field, and adjusting the price parameters.

The illustration below shows the results obtained through the new expanded keyword search feature fields, from the search criteria used above. In this example, seven condos were discovered in RPR, for Farmington, MO, within the price range of $75,000 to $150,000.

Suppose you have a customer or client who only wants to look at “brick” homes?  With the expanded keyword search fields, add “brick” in the Keywords box, type in your other search parameters, and receive the search results. The illustration below shows a search for brick homes within a particular city:

So don't forget, you can easily search neighborhood, address zone, (zoning), the address area (MLS area), exterior style, exterior water features, listing subtype and MLS subtype, as well as keywords within the listing description. And yes, this new feature works in both Residential and Commercial RPR.

Enhanced Drive-Time Search Options

Your clients and customers will appreciate your ability to provide some fascinating searches using the drive-time search feature. You have the capacity to customize drive-time searches by the day of the week and time of day. The image below provides an example of the new choices you have when choosing drive time for a particular location:

We’ve even added the ability for you to view “walking time,” for the location you select, as shown in the graphic below.

In fact, consider using the new “walk time” enhancement with the existing POIs (Points of Interest) with your listing to give consumers a new perspective on the property you are marketing, and why it may be appealing to them.

The drive-time enhancements will help you stand apart from the competition when preparing and presenting driving and walking maps for consumers.

Facebook Message for Reports in Non-Disclosure States

RPR users have had the ability to share various reports through the social media network, Facebook. Unfortunately, some areas of the U.S. are “non-disclosure” states, and prohibit the sharing of specific MLS information to the public. RPR has incorporated a pop-up box reminding the user of rules that may prohibit the sharing of MLS data for a property in a non-disclosure state. The messaging does not appear when sharing RPR reports on properties outside non-disclosure states.

The next three screenshots will walk you through the process of choosing a report to download, rerun, share via Facebook or delete. We’ll then show you how to select “share on Facebook,” and finally, the third illustration will show you the new warning message that will appear for non-disclosure states.

Step #1 – Select the + button next to the report you want to choose.

Step #2 – Select “Share on Facebook.”

Step #3 – The new message appears for non-disclosure states. Notice you do have the option to check the box, “Don’t show this message again,” to avoid future pop-up reminders.

RPR Mobile™

Text Formatting in Property Flyer

And for iOS mobile users, you can now select the description text within a Property Flyer, and format the font to bold, italics, underline and strikethrough, right from your mobile device. Android users, this new feature will be available for your phones in the coming months.

Market Data Tool

Schedule, Print and E-Mail Customized Reports

Associations and MLSs can print, e-mail and schedule customized Market Data Reports in the new market data format of the MLS and Association Dashboard. This time-saving feature will ensure a consistent workflow each month for generating valuable information for you and your membership.
