v1.54 - RPR website and RPR Mobile™ for iOS/Android tablet and phone
Released October 4, 2016
The latest release of Realtors Property Resource® provides numerous improvements, including a suite of new options for searching and viewing residential properties available for lease. In addition, the RPR Mobile app now includes virtual tour links. To learn more about all the new RPR updates and details, continue reading below.
Residential leases searchable and viewable
RPR users can search and view residential lease properties in markets where MLSs make lease data available to members. Nationwide, RPR displays 18,400 residential properties for lease, as well as off-market lease properties, with more lease data coming online as MLSs leverage this new feature.
We've added the ability for you to search For Lease properties with a new menu on the home screen as shown below.
Along with the addition of properties available for lease, users can search for leased properties, study market activities and include lease information in reports on properties. Below are some examples of how you can search for lease properties.
If a property is for lease and also for sale, you will easily distinguish this by dual flags displayed in RPR. The graphic below provides an illustration of how a property will look in RPR when it is both for sale and for lease.
Maponics neighborhood boundary update completed
RPR's neighborhood and geographical boundary data, provided by Maponics, has been refreshed with a quarterly update. The new data helps improve the quality of your searches and the information attributed to neighborhoods and geographies.
In this update, major metro areas such as Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, Miami, Houston, San Diego and Portland, as well as many smaller cities, received some boundary updates, ensuring you current, accurate neighborhood boundary information. Also, our school district boundaries have grown to cover more than 94 percent of the U.S. student enrollment.
Days in RPR added to sort options
If you have ever wanted to sort the search results of properties in RPR by length of time on the market, you’re in luck! Our latest update provides you more options for sorting your search results, including "Days Active in RPR." This sort option is offered in the mobile app too.
See all of the sort options available to you in RPR with the graphic below. Note that your previous selection determines the sort order you'll see the next time you search.
Home Facts changes update in real time
One enhancement you will appreciate and find useful is the “real-time” updating with the Home Facts area of RPR. You may have noticed in the past if you changed information to a property in the Home Facts section, the updated amount would not populate unless you navigated away from the page and then returned to the Home Facts section. This latest release of RPR implements “real-time” updates as you make your changes.
Neighborhood metrics display enhanced
In the past, many areas displayed positive and negative changes in the same font and color for reports and online viewing. Excellent information, but if could be a bit confusing in some instances. Today, negative numbers show in red while positive figures for the neighborhood are displayed in black. The subtle modification should allow you to point out pros and cons with customers and clients when asked about a particular neighborhood or marketplace, allowing the information to stand out professionally and visually.
Additional website changes:
- Deep linking is offered for school districts.
- Owner information originates from the current deed. The last market sale details are provided in the new “deed information” section of RPR.
- Keyword searching includes additional unique characters: "/," "&" and "-." For example, if you type in "state-of-the-art, five-star, bar/wine, or I-5," any properties with these particular characters will appear with your search results as shown below.
Virtual Tour Links added to property details screens
Virtual Tour Links are available in the property description of mobile RPR, allowing you to share this information with customers and clients from your tablet or mobile phone.
Easily switch modes from residential to commercial, and back
When you search for a property in residential mode, and the property is commercial (or vice versa), the mobile app prompts you with a notice that you are leaving your preferred mobile mode. For example, suppose you are currently set to residential mode with your RPR Mobile app. You search for a property address, and the listing is a commercial property and not a residential listing. RPR will allow you to view the property in commercial mode, but provide you a prompt with a notice that you are leaving RPR residential and switching to commercial.
Additional mobile app changes:
- Your license information is included when sharing your contact information through the mobile app.
- Auto-suggest now works the same for RPR mobile search as you have come to enjoy on the website.
- If you make changes in the RPR mobile user settings, you no longer have to click save. Once you exit the user settings menu, RPR mobile automatically saves any changes you made in the settings area.
