Release Notes: November 2016

v1.55 - RPR website and RPR Mobile™ for iOS/Android tablet and phone

Released November 8, 2016

The latest release of Realtors Property Resource® provides numerous new improvements for both residential and commercial users, including improvements to market activity search and the ability to add notes and photos to Property Details pages for commercial properties. To learn more about all the new RPR updates and details, continue reading below.

Notes and photo functions join Commercial website and mobile app

For commercial properties, RPR now provides a notes field and the ability to upload photos, as is already available for residential properties. Notes and photos are added on the summary tab of the Property Details page as shown below:

Both additions are excellent features for adding important notes about commercial properties you list or sell, as well as uploading specific photos to help with marketing, showcasing specific features for potential buyers and more. You can include or exclude this added information when you create a report on the property. The graphic below gives an example of how this option works.

Market Activity search improved with new search filters

RPR is excited to announce more detailed searching parameters for our market activity search. Not only have we expanded the ability to search expired listings and price changes, you can search for sale and lease properties by these new additions:

  • Property type
  • Value range
  • Beds
  • Baths
  • Living area
  • Lot size
  • Year built

You can also search back six months in market activity, expanding our previous three-month timeline. This extended timeline and the new search inclusions can assist you with trends in your marketplace, pinpoint recently reduced properties and help provide you talking points about the activity for your market.

And of course if you need to make any changes on the fly once you populate your market activity search results, it’s no problem to make changes from the left-hand column as shown below:

It’s important to note that Value Range is a unique filter which searches against List Price, RVM (REALTORS® Valuation Model) and AVM (Automated Valuation Model), or Sold Price, depending on the property’s status.

Powerful Keyword Search moves to a more prominent location

A hidden gem that has gone unnoticed by many RPR users is the ability search for properties by keyword. RPR currently allows a user to add up to six keywords to any search. To help users take advantage of this excellent feature, we moved this search field to a more prominent location for you to use quickly. You can see a graphic of the new location for keyword searching below:

Don’t forget, searching for keywords is very easy, and with the keyword search function you can easily search neighborhood, address zone (zoning), the address area (MLS area), exterior style, exterior water features, listing subtype and MLS subtype, as well as keywords within the listing description. And yes, this new feature works in both Residential and Commercial RPR. Plus, keyword searching includes additional unique characters: "/," "&" and  "-." For example, if you type in "state-of-the-art, five-star, bar/wine, or I-5," any properties with these particular characters will appear with your search results.

Property History displays sale price info first

We have refined how sales transaction data is displayed when multiple deeds are recorded on the same date. RPR acknowledges recordings with sale price info display first. See the graphic below:

Performance enhancements speed up website and mobile

Our programmers and engineers have also been hard at work on technical details behind the scenes to provide a faster user and work experience, particularly when viewing Commercial Property Details pages or running a lease search. If you have experienced a sluggish or slow session in the past, we are sure you will find the new tweaks a significant improvement and help you get your work done quickly!

Mobile iOS users, we have also accelerated property loading when using the RPR mobile app.

RPR Mobile

Owner phone number can be dialed from mobile app

When an owner’s phone number is available with a listed property, the number is clickable, allowing the user the ability to touch and dial the seller. This option is only available when an MLS includes this information with the listing data.

Zooming on a map shows parcel boundaries

By zooming in on a map within RPR Mobile, you now have the ability to see the parcel boundaries. Having the option to zoom in on a map for boundaries is an excellent asset for you to use with your SmartPhone and RPR Mobile with clients and customers when in the field showing properties.

High def photos shown for all properties where available

High definition photos are now shown by default for all properties when available! You can view the before and after changes below.

Additional mobile enhancements

We have also added two new options with the RPR Mobile app in preparation for a future update and lease searches. You will see an update to the living area search field and lease details within the mobile app. We have provided both screenshots below:
