The RPR Team has been hard at work adding new features to help make your RPR experience the best it can be! This month’s updates and changes include a new account creation process and an easier way to reset your password. We have also included some very impressive options and choices when creating Market Activity Reports, or searching for market activity, from your computer or your mobile device.
Let’s explore all the new updates with the May 2017 RPR release.
New workflow for account creation and password reset
If you’re new to RPR, you will appreciate our streamlined interface for signing up for RPR and creating your account in three easy steps!
First, check your eligibility by providing proof you are a REALTOR®. Input your Last Name and your NRDS # in step 1:
If you do not know or cannot remember your NRDS #, no worries, we’ve made it easy to look up your NRDS # through the NAR database.
And those of you who still may have difficulty connecting your NRDS #, or any other issues, can give our friendly Customer Support staff in Omaha, Nebraska, a call. It's fast, and they're open 24/7, seven days a week.
During step 2, you will create a secure password. And yes, our latest update to RPR makes securing your account and creating a strong password easy, thanks to our new password strength indicator.
Your final (third) step to creating your account in RPR is to link your MLS or CIE information. During this step, you will provide RPR your MLS or CIE user ID. Once verified, you should see a green check mark indicating everything is correct and linked to your MLS or CIE and ready for you to begin using RPR.
Finally, if you belong to more than one MLS or CIE, be sure and link the additional memberships so you can take full advantage of RPR and your MLS and CIE memberships.
For users having trouble logging into RPR, our new password reset process makes resetting your password quick and easy.
RPR sends an email message with a password reset link; you are just a couple of clicks away from resetting and registering a new password. Keep in mind the new link for resetting your password will expire, so please respond and change your password as soon as possible.
And yes, the password strength indicator will assist you in creating a secure password for protecting your RPR account and data.
Also note that RPR does provide you the option to reset your password from your Profile page as well.
Enhanced Market Activity Report has new content options
With our latest RPR release, we have enhanced the Market Activity Report to provide you more options for the content you include with your local market research. You can set filters to choose the property types, property statuses, valuation and property characteristics to report on. The report and the search now offer the same customization options, so the search you run on the website or mobile and the report you generate for a client will match.
The market snapshot and property summaries are two key elements of the report. Not only can you specify what items to include in your market activity search, but we have mirrored the options for you when generating reports from the reports generation page.
We have also added the ability for you to search back as far as six months when creating a Market Activity Report. This addition will help slower markets provide a broader depth of research for their customers, and include more data within the report.
Along with the new Market Activity Report updates, we are putting you in control of the sort order and the number of properties to include. Both new options are illustrated below.
Our final update to the reporting feature is the opportunity for you to include a new "About RPR" fact sheet at the end of any residential or commercial report. The "About RPR" page is a great tool to help your customers and clients learn about RPR and the data provided within the report, not to mention showcasing your professionalism as a real estate agent using one of the premier real estate data tools.
42,500 neighborhoods updated with Maponics refresh
Maponics, which provides neighborhood and other geographical boundaries for RPR, has been busy updating neighborhoods and boundaries around the U.S. More than 42,500 neighborhoods have been updated in the latest Maponics data set. This update ensures that the information and data you pull for customers and clients is current and accurate. Some of the cities with a specific focus on neighborhood updates are listed below, but please know this is only a partial list.
Greater transaction flexibility in zipForm integration
With an update to the RPR-zipForm integration, users gain the ability to choose what type of form they will be preparing with zipForm. You can specify what type of form you are preparing from within RPR, e.g. Listing, Purchase or Lease. As before, RPR will aid you with auto-filling the correct fields included in the public records with the document you are preparing.
Login screen and password reset experience refreshed
We are excited to debut the new homepage login for RPR Mobile. Whether you plan to log in to RPR for residential or commercial mode, we are confident you will love the new login screen format.
Also, RPR users can quickly reset their password from the home screen as shown below:
As with the desktop version of RPR, the mobile app takes your security seriously, and we have incorporated several security features with the mobile app if you need to change your password.
Market Activity Report is customized
Our latest release also includes the ability to customize your Market Activity Report when you are on the go and using your mobile phone. We’ve added lots of options for you to include, filter and sort with the market activity generation page from within the mobile app.
