Released October 17, 2017

We have lots of exciting new features in this release to help you maximize your daily activities as a real estate professional, including expanded keyword search functions, commercial tenant information and voice-to-text for mobile phones. To discover all the October 2017 updates, continue reading below.

RPR Website

Keyword search expands to include public records

RPR’s keyword search feature is an essential tool for locating specific properties using terms common in your MLS data. Now we are expanding your ability to search for properties using terms available in your local public records. Yes, you can now search for properties using information including zoning, pool, legal subdivision name and land-use types (property subtypes).

This update will provide you with tremendous opportunities for locating properties within your marketplace for clients. To access the function, go to the “All Properties” search menu as shown below:

When you need to search for a specific type of property in your area, the extended keyword search is easy, fast, and a great way to uncover additional business for your real estate career.

Tenant data added to commercial mode

Commercial practitioners will love our latest addition to RPR: tenant data for commercial properties. We teamed up with SMR, a provider of commercial tenant data, to display more than seven million tenant facts nationwide. You can see a commercial property's tenants, and specific data regarding those tenants, on the Property Details page.

The tenant data section on the Property Details page includes the tenant name, suite number, move-in date, type of business and business start date, as shown below:

You also have the flexibility to edit the tenant data, as noted below, if you have additional tenant information you want to record for your own usage.

In a future release the commercial tenant data, with your additions, will be available to include in the Commercial Property Report and as a stand-alone report available for printing.

APN and Owner Name search functions get better

In the previous sprint and this one, we enhanced the search capabilities of the APN and Owner Name fields in the All Properties search. You can now search by a property's tax ID in addition to APN. Plus, the search logic for the APN, Tax ID and owner name fields have been updated to include all property records that start with the owner name, APN or Tax ID that was entered.

Property Details: Lease-Only properties include Listing Details section

We understand your need for specific listing information when working with for-lease properties. Our latest update includes details regarding the listing agreement, showing instructions and showing phone number. This addition should save you time when working for-lease properties in your marketplace. Here's a sample of the new section:

Expired listings have better and more consistent identification

This release refines the identification of properties in RPR that are off-market or expired. Before this change, some properties may have appeared as off-market but not expired. We are now distinguishing off-market and expired listings as the length of time the property has expired from your marketplace. A property remains in recently expired status for 14 days, then expired status for 9 months before moving to an off-market status. This refinement gives you a better understanding and history of specific properties when performing your daily activities and research.

RPR Mobile™

Sign up for property-based notifications

Great news for users of the RPR mobile app: Notifications are available with our latest release! You can subscribe to notifications to help keep you informed of property status, price and estimated value changes on saved properties and more.

013.png

You might consider using a push notification to keep track of a valuation change to your listed inventory, for example. Turn on or off the available notifications in Settings in your mobile device, as shown below:

014.png

Here is an overview of the notification types:

  • Estimated value updates for saved properties or the user's listings (residential properties only) notify users of changes in the property's AVM or RVM. The user is notified when a property valued up to $799,000 increases or decreases 1 percent or more, or a property $800,000 and above increases or decreases a half a percent or more.
  • Status changes for saved properties or the user's listings, from any property status into another (such as Pending, Active or Sold).
  • Price changes (increase or decrease) for saved properties that are listed or the user's listings.
  • New listing notification for a user's listed property.

Please note, iOS & Android users' notifications are turned off by default. If you want to use this new enhancement, go to Settings on your mobile device and enable notifications.

Android users, your screen for managing notifications looks like this:

iOS users, you'll see these controls:

We've also added a separate notification that prompts you when your report is fully generated and ready to send to a client:

And one last item regarding notifications. We are making sure you are notified during regular business hours. Therefore, this feature has a time restriction to avoid sending notifications outside regular business hours. Notifications will be delivered between 10 am and 3 pm CT.

Search using voice-to-text instructions

And RPR is proud to announce our new voice-to-text search option!

As shown in the graphic below, search text boxes now feature a microphone icon. By clicking the microphone, you have the option to dictate a property address, area of interest and more.

Property Details: Location-based school information added

We have added location-based schools on residential and commercial Property Details screens. The latest enhancement allows you to view schools based on attendance zone. This feature is also included as a report element (attendance zone source: Maponics).

020.png

The school details include school name, GreatSchools rating, grades served, address and district. You also have the option to generate a School Report or search for nearby properties in the attendance zone. Best of all, you can access driving directions from this feature from your mobile phone, saving you valuable time preparing for the best route when showing properties to consumers.

Comp Analysis: Access your previously saved comps

In this release, we are also giving you access to previously saved comps when creating a new Comp Analysis from your mobile device. Yes, you are now able to start an analysis on the website and complete your report on your mobile device or vice versa!
