Can I access information about tenants in commercial properties?

Detailed tenant data is displayed with commercial properties to help you understand whether a particular building is a good fit for a client. You can see a commercial property's tenants, as well as specific data regarding those tenants, on the Property Details page. Data on more than 7 million tenants nationwide is provided by SMR Research, a provider of commercial and business data.

The tenant data section on the Property Details page includes the tenant name, suite number, move-in date, type of business and business start date, as shown below:

Tenant data for a commercial property is displayed on the Property Details page as shown below; from here, users can:

  • Edit any of the tenants shown
  • Add another tenant
  • Print a report of the tenant information

You can print or email the report using the "Print list of tenants" link, shown above. The report, shown below, includes a photo of the building, a map and the tenant information. Red text indicates information that you have entered or edited.

The tenant data, which is updated quarterly, is also available as a section in the Commercial Property Report and can be included or not simply by selecting the element in the report details list.

Commercial: Tenant Name Search

You can also search for tenants in an area; simply type in the tenant name and RPR will match names against both owner name and business name and return a list for you.

Search for the tenant name; either owner or business name.

Click on the property to expand the details. Notice the Owner name is not “ford”.

Expanded details will display all available property facts and the name of the business; in this case “Tuttle Click Ford”.
