Released May 7, 2013
Version 1.23 of the Realtors Property Resource website includes a number of refinements, including enhanced report covers, a map pin that shows multiple properties in one location, a way to clear your advanced search parameters, and behind-the-scenes data improvements.
A summary of these features is below. If you want more help finding or using anything in RPR, please visit http://blog.narrpr.com/training/
Enhanced report covers
RPR has been improving the covers of our popular reports (Property, Mini-Property, Seller’s, Market Activity, Neighborhood, Commercial Property and Commercial Trade Analysis). Users have asked for a clearer comments field and a larger logo. These changes are included in the new release.
Map pin for multi-unit properties
When a property has multiple units, like a building with a number of condos, the map pin for the property is not very useful if it shows only a single unit. Now, the map pin for a multi-unit property has a dropdown detailing the units at that location.
“Clear” function for Advanced Search
A new link clears all the fields you populated for an advanced search, making it easier and faster to start fresh.
Enhancements in chart data
RPR is always striving to improve the quality of data available through our website, even as that data becomes broader, richer and more voluminous. Some of our efforts occur deep within the database, but with this release the site will contain noticeable improvements to the charts summarizing market trends displayed on the Property Details and Neighborhood Details pages, and in reports.
These charts, like the “Median Sales Price vs. Sales Volume” chart, can be unduly influenced by outlier data, such as $1 transfers, sparse sales in a location, or multi-parcel sales. All of these inclusions can skew the lines on charts because they include figures that are too high or too low compared with area norms. New processes for comparing and combining data—and the underlying computations that produce the charts—will help avoid the chart spikes and gaps that users sometimes observe.
Some chart types are updated now, while others will be updated over the next 24 hours.
RPR will also now show charts in some locations where they were unavailable, because we are using recording date information in addition to contract date information. Contract date information is limited in many areas.
The release also includes enhancements such as a warning when a user forgets to save changes to the Profile page and a confirmation message when adding a comp by street address to the Comp Analysis tool. Some corrections also have been made to icons appearing on maps.
