“Favoriting” Properties and Searches

Saving information on RPR has been reworked to follow conventions that will be very familiar from other popular websites. Now you have only to click a star icon to save, or “favorite,” a property or search.

Stars appear next to each item in a search results list. Clicking the star “favorites” the property; clicking again “unfavorites” it:

On the Property Details page, the star appears in the upper right corner, next to the option to give the property a custom name:

Saved items are accessible anytime from the “My Favorites” list at the top of the homepage and Search Results pages:

Clicking the “View All” option displays all of the saved properties or searches on a new page of their own:

Large-Format Photo Galleries

The photo carousel on the RPR Property Details page can now be expanded into a large-format gallery.  Many MLSs send RPR high-resolution imagery, and the new gallery allows users to get a great view of them.

To open the gallery, simply click on the “expand” option in the carousel.  The large format view opens into a slideshow mode:

The slideshow can be toggled to advance automatically or manually, or display in a gallery mode. Thumbnails below the large image allow you to jump ahead or back easily. A counter at the bottom of the screen indicates the total number of images available and where you are in the sequence. To close the large-format view, simply click the red “x” in the upper right corner to return to the Property Details page.

Suppressing Automated Valuation Information from Reports

Some users have requested the ability to partially or completely remove automated values (AVMs) from the reports they prepare for their clients. Now it is possible to do so, by checking the option you prefer on the report configuration page.

To remove estimate information, open the options list for the report you are generating, such as a Property Report or Seller’s Report. At the end of the list, you will see two new choices: one removes the AVM or RVM information from the report, and the other suppresses any refinements you have made to an estimate from displaying in the report. Selecting either of these options does not remove the estimate or your refinements from the site; they simply do not display in the report you are generating.

New Flood Zone Updates

RPR has loaded the latest flood zone information from FEMA. This release contains all updates to the Digital Floor Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRM) coverage compiled by FEMA over the course of the past year. To view a flood map, choose the flood layer from the map overlay selector below each map displayed on the RPR website:

Choosing Comps by MLS ID

Now you can enter an MLS listing ID to search for a comp in the Comp Analysis wizard, and use it in either of the analysis modes and reports that can be produced from that page. To enter a listing ID, first confirm the facts of your subject property, then in step two of the wizard, click on “Add a known property” to switch from the comps search form to an input box, where you can enter the listing ID or an address:

Other Improvements

Other enhancements in this release include:

  • If you have commercial as well as residential listings, now you can see both types in one list when you open the “My Listings” view on the RPR Residential site.
  • A Preferred Mode for Commercial members can now be set in the account signup wizard to assist with the account creation process for commercial practitioners.
  • New performance improvements have been added, in addition to other fixes and changes requested by users.

Coming Soon

  • RPR has begun alpha testing a mobile application suite for the iPhone and Android operating systems. More information will be available after the testing is complete.
