What will I find on the Trade Area Details page?

A Trade Area is any searchable geography in RPR. A Trade Area can be a:

  • Block Group
  • Neighborhood
  • ZIP Code
  • City
  • Township
  • County

You will navigate to a Trade Area Details page from the red button "More about this Trade Area" on the lower right of any Property Details page. At the top of the Trade Area Details page, you will see a summary of the area including this data:

  1. Median age
  2. Median Household income
  3. Dominant Tapestry segment
  4. Total population
  5. Charts with demographics and economic data
  6. Top 5 dominant Tapestry segments

Tapestry is a data product developed by ESRI, an RPR partner and the leader in GIS software. Tapestry classifies U.S. residential neighborhoods into 65 unique market segments based on socioeconomic and demographic characteristics. In the Trade Area Details page shown below, the segment called Urban Chic (well-educated married couples and single professionals with an exclusive lifestyle) is dominant in the area. Other segments common in this area are also listed.
