Release Notes: April 2016

v1.49 - RPR website and RPR Mobile™ for iOS/Android tablet and phone

Released April 12, 2016

The latest release of Realtors Property Resource® improves the search experience for residential and commercial users, adds keyword searching for commercial users, and improves map refresh in the mobile app. This release also includes functional improvements in the Market Data feature for MLS and Association staff users.

RPR Residential

Faster searching for specific addresses

When you search within the for-sale menu for a particular property address, RPR now auto-suggests properties that are currently active and for sale within your MLS. For example, if you type in the street number, followed by the street name, RPR provides properties for sale in your MLS as soon as it can match the information you are typing.

Notice from the graphic below how typing a portion of the street address, auto suggests properties currently for sale in the local MLS. This enhancement will save you valuable time when researching and looking up property information for clients and customers while using RPR.

New “custom” row for extra features in Home Facts

Showing customers and clients your attention to detail is always a positive impression, and now RPR provides you the ability to further enhance this experience. In the Home Facts section, on the summary tab of the Property Details page, you can include additional features for the property not covered with the standard home facts.

If the home includes a particular feature or features the seller is proud of, you can add these items within the Home Facts section of RPR. The graphic below shows the inclusion of a wine cellar and a hot tub to Home Facts. You will also notice the option to add additional rows for other features you believe the homeowner would appreciate your including in a report.

Extended showing instructions and agent remarks

When a listing's showing instructions or agent remarks are lengthy, you can see all the information instead of the display truncating. Both areas have been extended to provide you with more details when using RPR. For example, the showing instructions have been enlarged from a maximum of 300 characters to accommodate up to 4,000, while agent remarks increased from 500 to 4,000 characters.

Both improvements provide you with more information as you use RPR when working with buyers and sellers. The illustration below gives an example of the updated agent remarks and showing instructions.

RPR Commercial

Keyword search in listing data

Commercial users will find the ability to search for keywords when looking for active listings. The new keywords search functions with the listing description field from your CIE or MLS and helps you find properties with specific characteristics.

The photo below shows the keywords search field in the bottom corner of the search parameters. Notice this generic search netted 575 properties.

By including two keywords, “reception” and “windows,” the same search resulted in seven properties, as shown below. Remember, the keywords search is filtering properties that have the included keywords listed within the listing description section of the CIE or MLS.

RPR Commercial has also removed the red banner across the top of the screen, replacing it with a white background, for users whose broker brand appears in RPR. This change allows your brand and logo to display more prominently when working in RPR Commercial. The change is pictured below.

RPR Mobile™

"Redo search" after zooming in or out on map

If you need to redo a search after zooming in or out on a map from your mobile device, it’s no problem with a search enhancement to RPR Mobile™. For example, after executing a search, you may find that you need to zoom in to see more details. You may also need to zoom out to find additional properties. With the "redo search" option, available on the map, you can quickly do a new search in the area of your choice.

Below are graphics showing the standard mobile search, and the "redo search" option after zooming in on the map.

Below is what the Redo Search option looks like once you have zoomed in on the map area.

This enhancement for the mobile app will be a time-saver for you when running searches in the field.

MLS and Association Dashboards

New version of Market Data feature for MLSs and Associations

The Market Data feature offers Associations and MLSs better capability for viewing and running reports on key metrics for inventory, listings and sales within their MLS or association. The new version of the feature gives MLS and Association staff members much more flexibility for comparing data from specific areas such as cities and ZIPs, and custom areas like drawn areas or congressional districts.

You will also appreciate the ability to run on-demand reports, set up report templates and schedule monthly reports to run automatically and be delivered via email. Filters allow users to choose specific date ranges for reporting, run internal comparisons or show data from a single MLS where a market contains more than one.

Below is a quick preview of how the new dashboard looks for your MLS or Association.
