v1.68 - RPR website and RPR Mobile™ for iOS/Android tablet and phone
Released February 13, 2018
We've added new features to the Seller's Report and commercial Trade Area Report to assist you in producing high-quality, accurate reports for your clients, as well as updating our neighborhood boundaries and improving accessibility of the website. In addition, updates to our mobile apps include new functionality for Comp Analysis, Login, Commercial Tenant Data and Notifications on your mobile devices. Plus, this release also includes a number of bug fixes and performance improvements to improve your experience with RPR.
Seller’s Report adds smarter home value display
You have multiple methods to determine the estimated value of a home: your Refined Value for the property, the property's RVM or AVM, or your Comp Analysis. Which of these values you want to show in a report you hand over to a client may depend on the status of the property. In recognition, RPR has enabled new logic to display the hierarchy of the price on reports based on the property's status.
Off-market properties price display hierarchy:
- Refined Value
- Estimated Value
- Comp Analysis / Sales Comp Analysis price based on the values in the comp-subject property grid
On-market or recently off-market properties price display hierarchy:
- Refined Value
- Most recently recorded price
The hierarchy always places your Refined Value as the number one source for the price displayed on a property. However, you can always select the value you prefer to show, and when generating reports you can suppress values as you like.
Furthermore, when you create your Seller's Report you have the option to not include the result of your Comp Analysis or the price range for your Comp Analysis. Use this feature to better customize the Seller's Report to your client's needs or local requirements.
Commercial: Custom Names show on report covers and charts
As a busy professional sometimes you need to make a report on the fly. RPR has added a new feature within Commercial mode to allow you to quickly name a custom area and to make a Trade Area Report all at the same time.
When you draw a custom area on the map, a menu box will appear providing you with several options: Search for Listing, Run an Analysis, Create Trade Area Report, Edit the Area or Save. Select "Create Trade Area Report" and a window will appear that requires you to enter a name for the custom area.
The name entered above will appear on the report cover.
Once the name has been created you will see that it transfers to other parts of the report, adding a level of customization to your reports. Note that the custom area name that you created is not just for the title of the report but will appear within the chart itself.
RPR achieves WCAG 2.0 compliance
We’re happy to announce that we’re WCAG 2.0 compliant! RPR meets the standards known as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) were developed in cooperation with individuals and organizations around the world, with a goal of providing a single shared benchmark for web content that is more accessible to people with disabilities. RPR conducted a self-audit and made recommended updates.
Maponics quarterly update includes fall 2017 data
The latest Maponics update for metro and residential boundaries focused on neighborhood and residential shapes and names. It includes 25 metro areas and more than 20,000 residential areas. Some of the areas updated include Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando, Austin and Salt Lake City.
A few changes to the mobile experience are included in this release. You can now reorder your comps when you run a Comp Analysis in the mobile app, you can rate your comps, and you can run a report of tenant data for commercial properties.
Comp Analysis: Reorder and rate comps
If you have created a Comp Analysis on the website, you will recognize this functionality. You now can reorder your comps when making a Comp Analysis on your mobile device. When creating your comp analysis, simply select the "show" box in Step 3 and change the number. This will reorder your comps.
While creating that perfect CMA on the road with your mobile device you will also note that you can rate the comps, which will adjust the value of the subject property. This functionality has always been available on the website and now you can do this on your mobile device as well. This functionality is in Step 3 of the Comp Analysis process and is located toward the bottom of the screen.
Finally, the limit of six comps has been removed, so you can have as many comps as you like when creating a Comp Analysis on your mobile device.
Tenant Data: Create a Tenant Report
RPR is enabling more reports for your mobile device! Now you can create and send a Tenant Report right from your device. This report can be included in the Commercial Property Report or created as a stand-alone report.
From the Property Detail screen, a new button is available to generate a Tenant Report. This will create a stand-alone report that you can send to your clients.
The Tenant Report is part of your print options for a Commercial Property Report. When creating a Commercial Property Report on Step 2 you can select the appropriate report sections, simply ensure Tenant Data is marked Yes and it will be included in the report. A sample is listed below. As a reminder, any edits you make to tenant information will be highlighted in RED.
Security-based login changes
RPR recommends that you have security access set for your mobile devices (password, pattern swipe, fingerprint or facial recognition). If you have security set on your device, you can login to RPR Mobile and stay logged in for 90 days. If you do not have security set on your phone, the standard default is two weeks.
